Meet Behr! He was originally adopted in Hawaii as a 4 month old puppy. He was rehomed to a family in California; they moved to Idaho and were unable to keep any of their dogs. We received Behr and 3 other dogs. Behr is a tennis ball-catching superstar who loves sports and spending time with friends, especially if they like to teach him new games. Behr is gentle about his ball; prefers to play with balls and eat his food with no dog nearby. He has good manners (comes, sit, shake, responds to name, gives kisses). A perfect day for Behr includes a car ride, long walks, exploring a beach, outside in the sun. Behr prefers not to share his home with a high energy, in your face type of dog (he likes small dogs), but has lived with cats before; will sniff and occasionally chase around the house. If your family wants a friendly "one of a kind" dog and wants a best friend, you might be the perfect match for handsome Behr. By the way, Behr is 56 lbs, 4 Years Old and Microchipped. UPDATE: Mike's comments (a daily dog walker) -- A real surprise. Does not seem to have any of the typical Chow traits, far more social. Easy to work with and walk. Very calm and nice. Does OK around other dogs as long as they don't get in his face. Gets along well with little Screech (arrived together). Appreciates attention but not demanding. Very focused on walks and really enjoys getting out. I call him a Dr. Seuss dog because he looks like something out of one of his books. A very interesting looking dog with a very surprisingly calm personality.
