Doberman Pinscher - Billy - Large - Young - Male - Dog
Billy was picked up by our city police as a stray. He weighs approximately 50 lbs and is estimated to by about 2 years old. Aspects of him remind us of a Boxer, but we don't know for certain what mix of breeds he is, there's possibly some German Shepherd in him too. He plays fetch and catch very well, knows, the "sit" and "down" commands, is decent on a leash and seems OK with the cats in one of our cat rooms. Billy is a great walker and would make someone an excellent running companion. He has a serious look, but he's really a friendly dog. He is a bit timid with new people, but warms up to anyone who treats him nicely. Billy is watchful and alert; it just may be his breed showing the guarding instinct. Not knowing his background, and our guess that he may not have been treated well by prior owners, we recommend that his adopters not have kids under 12 years.
